It's an extension for deviantArt & Mozilla Firefox users. It will show and notify you when new messages arrive for you on deviantArt. It requires that you're logged in on deviantArt or to use the auto-login feature from the extension's "Advanced" settings panel . ::: deviantArt beta testers should note ::: Due to the different page layout of your pages (inbox page, top bar, etc) that you might have, deviantAnywhere might behave weirdly or not function at all. If you experience abnormal behavior, try quitting the beta program. ::: How to install ::: Install it from this address: [link] ::: Login problems ::: It happened to some fellow deviants that when they try to use devAny it says that the username was incorect, despite the fact that it was. -The alert doesn't revert back to normal after messages have been read. For example, mine still says "1C", even though I've already read the comment. While it's not too major a thing, it can get confusing. (Especially if you're a favewhore like myself, and constantly get "thanks for the fave" comments.)
-None of the sound alerts seem to be working, which adds to the above's confusion. The other issue wouldn't matter much at all if this were fixed.
Aside from that, everything seems to be working just fine.

To see that alert, make sure that in the "Settings" window, the "Show notifiction alert" is checked. If the problem persists, please tell me.
Considering the old messages issue: the bottom bar will reflect what is in your messages page on deviantArt. If on that page you don't see any message, but you see some in your status bar, try to click "Check now" or press CTRL+Alt+C. If the problem persists, please tell me so. I'll also look into this issue, because it was reported also by another user.
